The best months to visit Thailand are December to March as there is less of a chance of rain, and towards the end of February to March it is sunnier and dry with reasonable temperatures. Temperatures are around 30 degrees all year round. Visitors should bare in mind that weather seasons vary from the mainland to the small islands.

Cuisine

Thai food consists of lots of flavours and with spices. They take their food influences from other Asian countries such as China and India and over time have adapted foods to their style of cooking either by stewing or grilling. Some of their most popular dishes are Tom Yum Goong (Spicy Shrimp Soup), Gaeng Daeng (Red Curry), Pad Thai (Thai style Fried Noodles) and the infamous Thai Green Curry.

History and Culture

Going into the 20th century, Thailand saw a big economic growth and is now more industrial which has helped them grow in wealth. Although, Thailand has suffered some severe floods, such as the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, they have recovered well. The Thai culture has deep influences of their religion; Buddhism which many practice everyday; they are a very welcoming community and encourage a serene atmosphere.
